Psychoeducational Evaluations

Uncovering the "Why" behind learning and behavioral challenges through comprehensive, evidence-based assessment.

What is a Comprehensive Psychoeducational Evaluation?

A psychoeducational evaluation is a comprehensive assessment designed to understand a student's cognitive profile, academic achievement levels, executive functioning, and social-emotional well-being. This clinical evaluation allows us to identify specific learning disabilities (SLD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder under Other Health Impairment (OHI), emotional disturbances (ED), or processing bottlenecks that impede academic access.

At CAS Evaluations, our assessments are conducted exclusively by Licensed Educational Psychologists (LEPs) specializing in differential diagnosis and legally defensible IEP planning throughout California. We provide families and schools with objective clarity and actionable intervention roadmaps.

Defensible SMART IEP Goals

Measurable academic, executive functioning, and behavioral goals tied directly to standardized baseline data and grade-level standards.

Disagree with a District Assessment or Need a Second Opinion?

Under federal IDEA regulations (34 C.F.R. § 300.502), parents have the legal right to request an Independent Educational Evaluation at public expense when they disagree with a district's evaluation.
